The Grove

The Grove is a tiny-cabin community, providing emergency bridge housing for transitional age youth (TAY) ages 18-24. The Grove is more than just a shelter, it is a program that supports the youth and their goals.

Our clients bring with them a lot of trauma and pain, oftentimes with little to no guidance on what to do with it, or how to cope. A huge part of what we offer is stabilization, a safe space to breathe and process some of what they have gone through, with support. We have a team of robust Case Managers on site who, depending on the client's need, will connect our youth to mental health services, AOD services, recovery support, and primary care physicians. We will wrap them in services that will continue on after they exit our program. We will assist them in finding employment and helping to increase their income. We will work with them on building their credit, creating a budget, and saving for an apartment. For others, we will connect them to community resources they may qualify for, such as Permanent Supportive Housing, Shelter plus Care vouchers, etc. Our ultimate goal is safe and stable housing for each of our youth. We offer 3 meals a day, private showers and restrooms, as well as a community room where folks can gather (socially distanced during COVID).

We work in partnership with SHRA, as well as the pastor of St. Paul's Church of God in Christ.
